The World Space Center is a collaborative project of a diverse
and growing group of individuals and organizations. The goal
of the center is to become the visible hub for all those interested
in space in any community where it appears,beginning with the
Greater Research Triangle area of North Carolina. To that end,
participation in the organization is open to all its members.

The
following is a list of members of the Magic Theatre Project
who form the core of our creative team. The MTP is a group of
writers, artists, designers, actors, journalists, educators
and other creative people who are exploring and evolving the
cognitive mechanisms underlying the art of stage magic, virtual
reality, and media communications; and applying these principles
to a wide variety of fields |

the Projection Theory of stage magic. Inventor of the Magic
Stage, the world’s first practical virtual reality theater

of numerous best- selling airbrush prints,cover artist for
STAR TREK books and founder of the Blair School of Art.

Cadigan – Internationally famous London based science
fiction writer. Co-founder of the ‘cyber- punk’ ((virtual
reality/cyberspace) science fiction movement.“The Queen of
Cyberpunk ”.Eight published novels, more than twenty-five
contributions to Omni Magazine. The only two-time winner of
the Arthur C. Clarke Award for best British science fiction
novel.

Curry – Seven time Emmy Award winning Director
of Special Effects for the STAR TREK television shows and
movies.

Lloyd
Dobyns – Peabody Award winning broadcast journalist,professor
of journalism and author of numerous books,articles and award
winning news documentaries. Former co-anchor, with Linda Ellerbee,
of NBC ’ s “News Overnight ” and “Weekend ”. Co-creator of
the 80’s documentary informing America of the nature and origins
of the ‘Japanese business miracle ’ that has been called “the
most effective documentary in television history.” Long interested
in the space program, Lloyd personally interviewed all of
the original Mercury astronauts.

Ferrell – Internationally known writer on the effects
of technology on mind and society, and the former editor of
the highly influential Omni Magazine. Author of dozens of
books and hundreds of articles.

Walter
Koenig
– Icon science fiction actor. STAR TREK’S ‘Chekov’, the critically
acclaimed ‘Bester’ in Babylon 5. One of the best-known space-science
fiction actors in the world. Walter introduced the Magic Theatre
Project to leaders in the civilian space movement.

Jeff
Krukin – International space policy speaker, writer,
and analyst. Developed The Human-Space Connection concept.

Michael
Tracy – Artistic director of Pilobolus Dance Theatre,
the landmark, Emmy Award-winning modern dance ensemble. One
of the world’s most loved dance groups. Michael also teaches
dance at Yale University.

Edgar Mitchell
– On January 31, 1971, Apollo 14 lifted off from Cape Kennedy,
and three days later, Edgar Mitchell walked on the lunar surface.
It was an audacious time in the history of mankind. Dr. Mitchell
provides us with a blue-print for revolutionizing our lives
and our planet.

game. Also, a virtual set and virtual camera system used by
Jim Cameron for the movie, The Abyss. Developed Virtus Walkthrough,
the first real-time 3D design application for personal computers
and co-founded Red Storm Entertainment with Tom Clancy and
Timeline Computer Entertainment with Michael Creighton.

Spooner – Former president and current board
member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM),
the largest professional group in magic. Former long time,
much honored, head of Science Education for the State of North
Carolina.
